Residents Join Hands to Upcycle Old Books and Renovate Christmas Trees

For having a more sustainable Christmas through good design and waste utilization, the Henderson Property Management Department called on all estate residents to donate books and launched the "Book and Enjoy an ESG Christmas" in 2023. This activity successfully collected more than 20,000 used books upcycled to a Christmas tree and placed them in all estates. These books will be circulated by "One Pile", a Smart Book Crossing Platform, after the holidays. Suitable books will be arranged and donated to charitable organizations after sorting so that the books can be put to their best use. The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was successfully held on 1 December, 2023. We would like to thank Mr. Suen Kwok Lam, Mr. Lam Tat Man, Mr. Yu Ching Yan from Henderson Land, Mr. Cheng Wing Shun, a Legislative Council Member and Chairman of GDCD Association, and all the guests for attending the event to support environmental protection.
