Creative Team of Care Arrange Online Yum Cha for the Elderly

The Team of Care joined hands with the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Wong Cho Tong District Elderly Community Center to organize online Yum Cha for the elderly on July 16, 2024 and August 13, 2024 to encourage the elderly to participate in social activities without leaving home. The volunteers visited the elderly's homes with snacks and gift bags and helped them use the online meeting platform to drink tea and chat with other friends on the screen. The elderly felt novel, interesting and up-to-date. After drinking tea, the volunteers participated in a quiz game with the elderly and made pressed flower tea sets which used dried flowers to create elegantly patterned cups and saucers into artistic works. The elderly can be exposed to new technologies and add fun to their lives.
